M11 - Wild Duck Cluster

M11 - Wild Duck Cluster - and open star cluster in the constellation of Scutum. Approximately 25 light years in diameter, it has a population of some 2,900 members. Some 6,200 light years from Earth, this open cluster can be seen in binoculars and is spectacular in a telescope. Image taken with a Celestron Evolution 8" with Hyperstar and Mallincam DS10c. Exposure details: 10 seconds, Histogram: 25-255, Gain: 20, live dark frame adjustment, live average stack of five frames. Post processed in Deep Sky Stacker, stack of 20 frames.
