NGC 4631 - known as the Whale Galaxy is a barred spiral in Canes Venatici. There is a companion galaxy, NGC 4627. The image also includes NGC 4656 a highly warped galaxy known as the Crowbar or Hockey Stick.
Mallincam DS10c with Hyperstar, Celestron Evolution C8, 5 seconds, Gain 20, Histogram 50-255, Live dark correction, live flat correction, average stack of 40 frames. Slight post processing in Deep Sky Stacker and cropped in Inrfanview.
