Comet Lovejoy passing near NGC 1156, a dwarf irregular galaxy in the constellation of Aries (yes, that tiny faint reddish smudge near the centre of the left half is a galaxy). A stack of six exposures, 60 seconds @ ISO-1600, aligned separately on stars and comet nucleus, Canon T3i on Orion 8" Newtonian Astrograph (some stacking artifacts are visible near bright stars and at right and bottom edges...the comet moves slightly between exposures):
