One of those Accidental Successes... While attempting to take a star trail of Orion Rising, I used masking tape to hold my camera's shutter open. I set up the shot and applied the tape. I quickly ran indoors to escape the cold (about 2am) Unknowingly, the tape had let go with just the right exposure time to capture this image of the constellation Orion, and the Orion Nebula, without any star trails.
